Tablinum: Design a sleeping/working enclosure for 1 person within the Waterfront Atrium using only 130 no. 450mm (long) x 225mm (wide) x 150mm (deep) concrete blocks and 1 piece of 2.4m x 1.2m x 12mm piece of structural plywood. Any surface in the Waterfront Atrium can be used as a wall or floor forming part of your Tablinum enclosure.
Objectives
Draw a plan and two sections of the Waterfront Atrium and the immediate adjacent spaces.

Presentation of Assignment 1
Design
The 1st A2 sheet must demonstrate your design of Tablinum as outlined in the program. It must clearly express your interpretation and study of minimal space through a plan and two sections (taken perpendicular to each other), sketches and other visual diagrams (such as 3-D representations). Your design must be illustrated in context (i.e. in its location in the atrium).

Concept and Process
In the 2nd A2 sheet, demonstrate your exploration and design process. In other words, how did you advance from the brief to a solution? The lineage of ideas must be clearly shown in a visual narrative of your design process. Pay particular attention to the abstract concepts underlying your scheme such as circulation, ordering principles and spatial organization.
