You can see in our floor plans that our design is not placed on our environment but it is integrated with it - where the bottom floor is formed by the layout of the rocky terrain.

the footings are drilled straight into the rocks and hard ground (the whole building could be removed with little inteference to the surrounding landscape - no excavation, concrete etc)
the aim of the recycled timber louvres was to allow the environment to become a part of the house, whereby you could see all the way through the building to the outside if all the louvres were angled the same way (providing excellent cross-ventilation). there is fly wire attatched to the inside of the frames which does not affect the view through the louvres but provides protection from insects.
the orientation of the house is north and south at the long elevations; east and west at the short elevations helping to reduce the surface area of the building exposed to the harsh sun
All lightweight materials are used for easy transportation and to reduce the build up of thermal mass. Timber is the main material as it has a low embodied energy compared to other materials like steel and concrete, it is also easy to transport and could be provided locally.
the living space of our design is angled in a way that allows the best views of the river.

Your posters read really well, there is a sense of continuation yet they are not repetative.
The photo montage works well and adds another detail th provide a well rounded design.
